whats the best one to use on a stage 3 engine running 22 psi and cosworth racing pistons and a t34 turbo????

i was looking into the cometic ones but the block is not comming out so thats them one out,so any advice on the next best???

sorry fella if ya blocks not coming out, ive just got a mountune 3 layer £220, but every thing has to be flat......er 611 group a....er dint na

IMHO the block doesn't have to come out of the car to fit a Cometic - yes the block face needs to be flat and clean, but I fitted one to my last engine after merely cleaning the face down and it worked FINE at 320bhp.

In a perfect world you'd get it skimmed / decked , but IMHO it doesn't need to be perfect to work.

At £100-£150 depending on where you shop they are a good low cost alternative to the £300+ WRC multilayer blah blahs!

I'm currently running a Cometic on my 450bhp engine, and so far the engine is the only bit still working in my car!

im running 611 grpa at 350bhp.didnt skim block but took tiny amount off the head and its been fine.

i used a cometic gasket on my old cossie without taking the block out just cleaned the block with some emery paper on a block cleaned it afterwards and its was fine
