squeling belts.. how to stop them?

Default squeling belts.. how to stop them?

sorry dont no how to spell squeling but how the fook do ya stop them doin it, is it cus ther to tight or not tight enuff, i thought it was cus ther not tight enuff slipping on the wheel? iv had my power stering one off my a/c and alternator and it was ok b4 i took them off, its gettin right on my tits

too loose

my alternator belt was squeeling like a pig, so tightened it up tonight and its minty mint again

change them there stretched

you can tighten them up but they go slack for a reason they are worn and beggin too squeel

If they've squealed for a long time, take a look at the surface that interfaces with the pulley. They can get "polished" by slipping and even if you tighten them up will still squeal.
In that case, get new belts and clean/degrease the pulley wheels before refitting

put some belt dressing on it its stickey and stops it sliping
