hi guys. just wonderd if anyone has a car that uses one of these boxes or if they have had much experiance with them? mainly the fact of how much drivetrain lashback should they have. got one in a kitcar we have built but got loads of drivetrain lashback and trying to eliminate it

any help?

I have a T56 but i haven't fitted it to my car yet

my mate has one in his car and his is prefect in everyway like a normal box

if you have got play in the box then something is wrong with it

i have 4 new t56's sat here but only one in the car thats causing me problems. just had the car in bits and took it for a drive. seems to definatly be coming from the tail of the box where the prop goes into the spline. upon closer inspection there is a slight amount of up and down movement if you grab the prop and manhandle it spline on our prop should be correct so can only wonder if like you say there is a fualt with the internals on the rear of the box shouldnt be worn as its only done 90 miles.
other boxes i have on the floor here dont seem to have the same play but difficult to tell without them bolted up in place.
think tomorrow may be a box out job and try one of the others to see if the problem persists

oh forgot to say. could you just check yours for me and tell me how much rotational play you have when you put it in gear, hold the prop end still and rock the front shaft back and forward. would be a help just incase i have a dodgy batch of boxes here
