Default sony erickson k750i (it got wet, fixable?)

its a pay as you go phone and i got the cnut wet on sunday. now i cant scroll down with the joy stick the select button dont work and neither does buttons 1,2, & 3
ive dried it out by waking the heating up full belt and leaving it on a radiator. its still shagged.(that used to work with old nokias)
i think there is a phone shop near by but ive hear it takes them months to get ya phone back to you.

does anyone think it will be fixable or should i just buy a new phone and if so what phone?

Take it apart as much as possible mate and put it on a towel on a radiator or use a hair dryer.
I threw mine down the toilet( took a chip out the bowl in the process then flushed it) argument wi the ex lol

After a few hours put it back together make sure it all dry tho

Should work if not then bin it matey!!!!

Usually water damage is terminal mate. Most repairers will charge you just to send it off to be looked at if it's not covered by warranty (which water damage isn't). Maybe best to keep you eye out for a suitable replacement, or try to upgrade etc.

the K750i is renound for the joystick not working anyway mate, i have one and have to strip it every couple of months and then it still has a mind of it's own...

If you can afford it buddy, i'd just get a new one, even if you get it repaired it's only a matter of time before it fuks up again

Ive heard/saw people pouring hot soapy water over them (with battery out) if theirs a couple of buttons not working, then drying em out, puttin them back together and them working fine. . usually if it's sticky stuff tho? my pal tried it with his ericson after spilling a pint on it and the buttons that stopped working, worked fine afterwards it's a risk tho imo

I got my K750i wet last week and the screen went funny and buttons and joystick stopped working. I dried it out overnight and it was fine.

If the joystick / buttons aren't working spray electrical contact cleaner in there. This always works for me and it leaves no residue so won't affect the screen etc. This is the only safe thing to spray in my opinion.
