Erm thats totally different mate! VW at the time didnt have a quicker golf. Ford did have the Escort cosworth... Thats why they would have never produced the above!

Not really, It was mentionined in the Graham robson Book i have that it was researched and promoted internally at Ford as a direct competitor to the golf vr6 , the vr6 was by no means out and out sports orientated, it was a very well equiped v6 cruiser, exactly what the escort would have been.
I see one at Silverstone about 5 years ago on a Ford Stand, im sure it was blue. I do remember that the inlet was on the offside not the nearside as in the Granada.
