At last my S2 ERST is finished!
After being off the road for over a year my RS Turbo is now finished. Its cost me far too much to get it how I want it but it got to a point where there was no turning back. I think its been worth it, it's very fast. I'm getting it on the rolling road next tuesday and hoping for 270BHP.
I've done a timed 0 - 100 KPH (0 - 62 MPH) and it done it in 5.48 secs which ain't bad. It's a very drivable car running quite low boost (17psi). I doubt many ford nuts say this but I DON'T want it any faster because:
1. I think it would verge on being undrivable
2. I've spent too much already!
I just plan to enjoy the car now as it's been so much hard work getting everything just right. Hopefully I can get it mag featured and take part in lots of events and rolling road days!
Take a look for yourself

CheeRS guy's the engine spec:
1.9 CVH, piper cam, stage 3 head, stage 3 turbo, GRS intercooler, Aqumist, Green injectors, Autronic ECU.
It's lowered 25mm on Koni's. I don't like cars too low as it can spoil the handling and I hate it when wheels scrub. Do look good when they are slammed though.

Could do with lowering a little tho

Thats quality, a tad lower at the front maybe, but thats all. Having said that I can't talk, got eibach springs and shocks from ford racing on the Ka and it sits a bit too high, not changin' em though as they are awesome on the twisties.
Oh yeah, those wheels are mint. Very tasty.

It took ages for me to get hold of these alloys the only cars I had ever seen them on was a white saff and bayside blue R34. Every one always comments on my wheels but I see them on more and more cars.
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. When I got mine I must of been one of the first to have them, thinking ahh no one else will get these. Now I see them everywhere
. That's why I'm having them resprayed in black chrome. Yours is the only other Escort I've seen them on tho.

Cheers for your replies
It's a specialised engines lump supplied and fitted by them. Don't know what the pistons are.
I'm thinking about getting a boost controller so I can have the boost raised to 1.4 bar. Then i'll just drive round at 1 bar of boost and flick it to 1.4 when I want to play
whos 1.9 is it? specialised?, PE or somewhere else?, what pistons etc have u got?
