hello all finally got my car running again
only problem i have now is that it seems to smoke alot
it smokes on startup, which ive been told is probably the stem seals which im gonna change anyway, but for example if the cars idling and i rev it,
it blows out bluish smoke, this only happens if i rev it and when starting up from cold ?
as i said im gonna change the stem seals aswell as the tappets as it taps a bit when cold is there anything else i should change ?
could it be the turbo seals are gone, if so is there anyway of telling
pls help
thanks
Amit

HI if you want to no about your turbo gone get the oil feed of the turbo where you put the oil on top of the rocker put the pipe in there not all the way just 4 the oil to go down there start the car for about 2 mins if the somke clears up you no your turbo gone
When it comes to smoking engines, really it can only be, stem seals, piston rings, or turbo seals. In some way shape or form oil is getting into the engine which is why its getting burnt and puffed out of the exhaust.
I guess its always good to try new stem seals as its a 20 minute at home job. but 9 times outta 10 its turbo troubles!
