i dont even watn to play it, i makes me sad about all the playability lost in todays games
a game like that, less than 300K, has MORE playability than a 300 meg game on a PC
thats why i wont play the 3d shit on the pc.
80's 8 bit days RULE!!!!!!!

I've still got my Atari 2600, ZX Specturm (same as the one in Tiffs pic) and a proper old skool grandstand (the 2 sticks)
in 20 odd years of playing Manic Miner I could never complete it

I used a 555 timer with a pulse width modulated output onto the "wait" pin of the processor to slow my Spectrum ZX down so that on the tricky bits of games i could twiddle a variable resistor to slow it down and thus give me the effect of superhuman game play.
None of my mates when i was 11 could work out why i had SO much better scores than them on all the games PMSL

Wish I'd have done what Chip said above - sounds like a cool trick!

We has someone like you in our Computer Studies class as well Chip....
He wasnt the most popular in the class.......
I wonder why......
But Chuckie Egg, Manic Miner, Jet Pac, Lunar Jet Man, Attic-Attac... there was some quality programming out there then.
I remember when I was at Middle School, back in about 1980 when the ZX80 came out and our Maths teacher had one..... and then it was high school and the Commodore PET and the 380Z.....
And all the poor kids who had ZX81's and Spectrums hated all the rich kids with BBC's
And if you had a Dragon 64 everyone was just waiting for it to melt and burn your house down.
And who is Geoff Minter and what was that thing with the Mutant Camels
Oh happy days
