kenneth hansen is a very good driver.
Sverre isachsen is also top class
Andreas eriksson also he made a rocket start on last heat of the div 1
And i have forgot dermot carnegie.
Pat doran is also a top driver.
I have been to the rallyracing round at valkenswaard.
Awesome racing!!!

I used to go to be mates with Gollop's nephew, had some pukka days out at Donnington

 

A guy I know owns one of his old RS200's, could well be that one tbh.

Schanche was a true nutcase, never spent enough time watching it years ago but all the clips I have show how mental those drivers are !

LOL, whatever happened to Barry Hathaway, last I heard of him he was running a Yugo dealership, right around the time of the troubles in europe

 

I dont know about Barry, but I met up with Graham about 3 years back, actualy bought a quite a few new/used Es Cos parts from him. He still had the same House/Workshops at Malden (Essex).

 

I live about 6 miles away from Graham's place and drive past it occasionaly. Its always interesting seeing what's in the carpark. I went past last week and he had a rather nice Moonstone 3dr up for sale. The workshop was up for sale a few years back but he hasn't sold up yet. Barry's dealership was only a few miles away as well.

Graham's daughter bought a car from a friend of mine many years ago, it was an RS1700T replica, looked the nuts.

BTW its Maldon.

Rallycross comentator (ather Debnam) would call him "Whitstable Will"...........IIRC Gollop owns/owned a SAAB dealership........actually before the Metro 6R4 he had a SAAB Rallycross car

about the sport,but i really like Richard Nicholls

Martin Schanche and Bjřrn Skogstad are my all time favourites when it comes to Rallycross.

Dont know what mr Skogstad is up to these days, but Mr Schanche is busy with turbos, gearbox reconditioning and local politics.
He was big news a while ago here in Norway when he punched another politician in the face during a discussion

he is a good bloke Will,have said hi to him a few times
at Rallycross meets and he is allways polite back
i was at Angelsey when he won the British Rallycross Championship
it was on SKY TV and he got me with the champagne

I've been trying to collect all of the late 80s- early 90s european rallycross vids, they crop up on ebay every now and again!

That stunt with Schanche running out into the track? Well, you dont see that in F1 do ya?

Anyone seen the "RS200 story" DVD? Good clip of Schanche on there battling with a guy in a red Audi Quattro, just going nuts trying to get past him! Eventually parked it in the tyres, as expected!!!!
