Default VIDEO - Trying launch control on my ZT Fiesta

The rev limiter system I have has launch control and flat shift functions, as those who read my Gallery thread will know. I wired in the launch control a couple of days ago, but haven't had any dry weather to (a) make sure it works and (b) get accustomed to it. Today it stopped raining, so I got the car out for a crack at it.

I swept the drive a bit, but it was all still wet, with soil/mud/alluvium/tree sap and berries all over the knobbly tarmac. Not ideal! Anyway, I got to grips with it a bit, but because of the wet ground it was pointless in terms of practising full-bore launches. You'll notice in the video I set off then lift off immediately to stop it spinning - totally going against the point of launch control!

Nevertheless, it was a useful couple of minutes, as I now know it works just as it should, and I was getting atmospheric pressure at the inlet...effectively 5-10psi higher than usually achievable on the start line without launch control or anti-lag. Bonus

The video's about 14Mb, and just over a minute long. You'll need the relevant codecs to play as it's DivX encoded as usual.

Thanks guys

It's chucking it down at the moment, but meant to dry for tomorrow I think. Perhaps my wet tarmac practise won't be so useless after all Will post back with a time
