Thinking of dumping an FRST engine into my mk4 fiesta to be a bit different...(or selling it to buy an xr3i or erst)

How hard would it be to splice the looms together? Are the gearbox mounts the same, Also would my digidash work with it?

im an apprentice mechanic, so putting the engine in is no hardship....just im not really up on my electronics.

 

Yuor going to have trouble with mounts I think. The mk4`s were all black top zetecs so I dont think there a straight swap.

 

I'd use a Ofab or Ofac loom, don't bother with the hassle of splicing into the original loom.
