Default Anyone had a 106GTI or a saxo VTS?

I need a new runabout and i'm not sure what to buy. I've wondered about getting the pug because i loved my old MI 205. I've had a look on autotrader and the saxo's seem cheaper but tbh i'd rather not have a maxo

Anyone had either car and got any info on them? Reliable?

Anyone know of one for sale?

What could i expect for £1500 - £2k? Anything decent or would i have to spend more?

cheers

Aye Aye Chop, I've just spoken to Toff, he's 'on the case' and will let you know whats on the go.

You've just missed out on a GTi6 kitted out 306 Hdi, within your budget aswell. Drop him a pm

lol, thats the thing you have to find a good one, mine was by luck judging by some of the stories of leaky sunroofs and bad electrics.

as long as you take it for a long drive to make sure everything works youll be ok

pour a bucket of water on the sunroof and see if it all goes through to the seats

My gf had a silver one, lovely motor and much more fun than the 206 gti I had at the time.

i'd have a clio williams over both of those cars if it was my choice

but out of those i'd go for the 106 gti, a lot less common for starters

Aye Davie
How does a grand sound?
Has it got any mods? Whats does "rarely skipped a beat" mean? What has gone wrong?
How is it on fuel? How much to say £10? What is insurance like?

you going to nat day man?

if so we can talk more about it then

a grand is a bit low mate, but obv u would have to look at the car urself

well apart from driveshafts and a few bushes the car has been cool (apart from tyres and brakes etc)

its a totally standard car mate

fuel consumption is pretty good, 350 miles for a full tank ish, (bout £35 quid) that just the norm i think, its always been that all the time ive had it

mate has a red gti an its a little rocket, chipped cammed manifold an a full exhaust, really needs a lsd to get the power down tho, an hes stripped it aswell.

its a great laugh, ran a 14.7 last time it was up at crail on a pretty shitty damp day. an the red ones are supposed to be quite rare, not sure if hed sell it as hes been looking at super charging it, but best of luck finding the one your after,

Mb.

Do these cars rot at all like fords do? If so where needs to be checked out? I've heard they can be bad for drive shafts? Anything else to know?
