Default Online car insurance quotes

I just got an almighty GOOD quote off bell.co.uk, ive not lied or ought but you'd think i did to get it that cheep. . anyway, do they HAVE to honour it or can they get out of it and say they wont do it so cheep?

basically I got a quote as a 2nd driver on my car my dad being the first driver for £367 tpft

just wondering if im gonna get fobbed off if i try and go ahead with it?

if you buy a car and it is in your name and then your dad insures it with you as a named driver then that's what i mean. Its obvious to the insurance companies really and could cause problems with a payout.

oh and i just realised you posted above me and my first comment was aimed at Dave

He means, if it was your car and you insured it through your dad, as just a named driver, yet you were really the driver that drives it most.

I don't think he aimed that comment at you anyway

oh and online quotes are just estimates, when you confirm they can change the details if they chosen too as i had that with some insurance company, got a quote of 300 then it went upto 700 when i confirmed the deal

BUT then when i kicked up a fuss it went down to 400

but i still fucked em off

not always the cse though and remember to get the car registered in ya dads name as said before or its ilegal as said before

I just tried to get a quote with bell online, trying to get insurance in my dads name, and they said they wouldn't insure drivers under 21.

I'll probably end up just sticking with my own insurance for now, just wait til i can afford to insure a Sierra Cosworth myself.

If you get pulled up and they question the insurance just say i'm allowed to drive it etc. etc. etc. if it says its your dads car and you're insured to drive it then, in a court of law you are legal. if they keep pulling you up because they know you are the main driver then do them for harrassment, simple

The name on the logbook isn't necessarily the legal owner of the car though so makes it hard to prove any 'wrong doings' when insuring.

The ownership of the car isn't so important - they ask that as a separate question - the important point to the insurer is who is the main driver.

They then assess the risk of having a 40-something year old driving the car most of the time and a 20-something only having occasional use.

If the young driver ends up having almost exclusive use of the car, that increases the risk simply because he is on the road more often. And if they can prove you lied about who the main driver is, that is all the excuse they will need to refuse to pay out in the event of a claim.

Well tried to go on my dads insurance on my car as a 2nd driver and they said no way

So looks like im gonna have to get my dad to start a new policy with another insurance co that will insure me as a 2nd driver, hopefully not costing a bomb.

Hopefully bell will be fair priced, but god only knows. . its looking unlikely

whats the best bodykit for a corsa SXI?
