Default Rev counter not working.....why?

My Rev counter has stopped working since i fitted a new metering head.......

I know the metering unit is nothing to do with it, but i may have disturbed a wire or something....But where abouts would it be???

There's a green wire running from the coil to the clocks (I think).

as said. green wire from coil to clocks. It goes through a supressor near the coil, so check that connection too. Also, give the clocks a punch

maybe a ballast resistor to reduce coil ringing for a more stable reading. Would have to inspect it properly to confirm

I have tried disconnecting the thing near the coil and cleaning it up.
Traced the wiring to make sure it is not cut/split
Applied force to the clocks

Have you continuity tested the green wire from the coil end to the plug on the back of the clocks?

And is there a suppressor inline in the green wire?
