Default Hybrid Turbo or Not???

Hi Boys & Girls,

I've got a a Series 1 RS Turbo running 190Bhp with 189lb/ft of torque. Not sure of all of its engine modifications due to the fact most of them were carried out by a previous owner. I can see it has a 5th injector, pace intercooler and know that it has been cammed & chipped. What I would like to know is how do I tell if the turbo is a standard one or if its a hybrid???

Couple of people have said it must be a hybrid for that power but I don't know how you tell that if its a hybrid or what type of hybrid it is??

I'm sure some one on here can help me out with this.

Any help appreciated!

CheeRS,

Luke

hi mate here is a pic below hybrid turbo on the left standard on the right take your boost pipe off going to the compressor housing and have a look at yours as you can see in the pic the hybrid as a bigger compressor wheel also if its a stage 3 hybid it will have .48 on the exhaust housing but it will be to hard to see with it being on the car

As said turbo will have to come off to see if its hybrid but no it definitely could be std, they're good for 200hp all day long

Well thanks very much guys, much appreciated.
I'll go home and take a look at the compressor wheel & exhaust housing....see if they give any clues!
