Default Very sick RS Van!

Anyone wanna see my print out today
not looking good at all,knew i had problems but christ! all standard but has cosworth actutator,dump valve,just seems to loose power when you put ya foot down,any idea's

Big time m8!

Just changed the dizzy last night whole new setup plus cap seems a lot better now but everytime i stop the van she just boils over!
Had new water pump
New thermostat
any ideas on that one?

is the flat spot in every gear and does it happen everytime?

It did do m8 until i change the dizzy over

any ideas why it boils over when the engine is switched off?
changed water pump plus thermostat.

most rs enigines do that cos the turbo acts like a kettle even tho everything is off

does it actaully piss out, or can u just hear the water boiling in the bottle?

leave it running till it cools down, the fan will prob come on so wait till it goes off, pain in the ass check condition of rad also/header tank cap too

Just noticed that it only happens when you switch the engine off,running seems fine (normal temp on gauge) when off it floods out?

as above its worth checking your coolant bottle cap to see if its holding pressure, im sure boiling up afterwards is normal as ive seen something on that posted before but yours may look worse as the cap isnt holding pressure and it leaking out, i asume your fan cuts in fine ect ?

yeah fans cuts in m8
i'll try the cap first,bottom end does sound like its starting to knock,would this have any affect on the cooling side?

the other way round would, if ur cooling system is not working properly that could cause problems for the engine ie knocking

didnt they tuner say anything when he rolling roaded it? normally they comment on something along the lines of what it could be?

didn't have a clue m8,said it was such an intermittent fault didn't know what it was lol, cost me £50 for him to say that! got it home done dizzy running much better just boiling over prob now!

nope nothing m8, thats whats so strange about it,flushed rad etc still doing it.

gonna get a new cap tomorrow see if that helps

Sounds like ur caps faulty mate,i had the same problem with my S2! The seal split in the cap,change the cap and its been fine ever since!

Until i ripped the car to bits!
