i agree never seen one on a D plate as they was all made in 88 onwards

d reg was 86/87 so how did they make a D reg version

 

same way as there are a few Rs 500 on D plate and NOT just E's as alot of people think !

yeah but there is no 87 saph cossies though mate, they never made em that year just like theres no c reg s2 turbo's

they made em in 88 making em ONLY e reg's

500's where a ploy to sell old stock if i remember cause they couldnt shift em

s2's where made in 86 so could have got a early registered one supose but the 88 model year makes it not possible as e's and f's where that year

my e-plate sapph was registerd 01.02.1988,the reg is E500***,it used to be a ford demonstrator so it was one of the 1st,it had the 3dr head(small washers on head bolts)and it had the smaller oil filter

My mates got one on an E in white, he's the 2nd owner which was only main dealer owned first 6 months and the poor cossie has sat on his Dad's front for a good 5 years and wont even sell it to me
