Only other way is to drill through the turret and bolt through from the underside I would think.......I'd use the allenkey type bolts. Not sure what clearance would be like with the strut though................

drill through the turrets and use 6mm allen head bolts with nylock nuts. you have to drop the struts down to do this and the clearence is very tight. when i did mine i got a selection of different length bolts and then cut them to size.

Those things are called rivet nuts i believe.......and i see where you are coming from not wanting to use self tappers

They look shit and go rusty etc. Make sure you use stainless will look so much better

As above...I used a M6 nut/bolt and cut down until only 1 thread was sticking through one nipped up. You have to drop the strut to do it though but it gives you a chance to coat everything with Waxoil once assembled

Weld threaded stud bar to the strut top, and then use nuts. Saves cutting any holes at all.

some of the stuff on here is giving me sleeples nights self tapers. wtf. why dont you tell him to glue it on you f*c$i!g nutball. drop struts offer up brace, drill through exact holes, use 13mm bolts, nylock nuts, cut down bolts so bolt is just through nut and refit struts. and as for the brace being aloy...... its to limit the flex betwen the strut tops not to keep legs straight if you wrap rest of car round an inconveinient obstical such as a tree.... or a bus shelter.
