yep i use one everyday all day for two years
the laser part never ever goes off , i think the old bill has changed the modern cameras.
but the main unit is always buzzin and you can add new cameras your self if mine broke today i would buy another defo.i am white van man with 0 points (touch wood)

by the time the laser does go off your to close to the cop anyway

Has the unit been registered and the latest database downloaded, if not that's why it didn't go off at a Gatso. Regarding the police at the side of the road if it didn't go off they didn't fire a laser gun at him!

Laser detectors are useless for the above reasons. Laser difusers on the other hand...

if you read the instructions on the road angel there is a button you can press to upload a warning of the location gps area site ..hand held gun spots
it uploads next time you log on to there site

when you pass a mobile cam van or plod hand held gun

when enough users press the same button it gets updated to the gps system

then the system works better

I've heard it has a bit of trouble detecting through heated front screens [with the element in them]?

My RA 2 works fine with warnings, it sounds off at the same time as my TomTom Go500, which has the latest updates from PWGPS.

RA have brought out the Road Angel Navigator 6000, which has all the same things as RA 2 but is also a satnav as well for £249.... for what you would pay for just a RA speed detector, you'd be better to buy the Navigator 6000. http://www.blackspot.com/ Halfords also are selling them for £249.

If you decide on just a Road Angel 2 or Road Angel Plus - get one off eBay. I got my RA 2 off eBay, it's less than 9 months old for £116

i think thats what i said

but if the mobile ones are not in the EXACTLY THE SAME place then your in trouble.

today in manchester i watched as a mobile van with the cameras on the side set up and started to coin in the dosh,
so i deliberately got in his way to check my sensor i weaved all over the road to make sure he pointed at me and apart from a two fingered salute from him as i went past nothing on my road angel.

so you can put the sites on but it wont sense the mobile cam. van

Yes but don't use the TomTom camera sites there are much better available here for £2 a download or £19 a year, includes mobile sites too
