Engine bay clean

wots the best stuff to de-grease the engine bay before a yet wash? GUNK?

wd40 is my choice of cleaning fluid, get a gallon with a spray bottle,

petrol , a spray bottle and a toothbrush followed by a soap solution to remove the petrol residue.
