Default t3/4 turbo

hi peeps i have been offered a very cheap t3/4 t04e stage 3 turbo but i am only running a 1600 engine is this turbo going to work on my car or is it a waste of money also when would it kick in and how much difference would it make

sorry for all the questions just dont want to waste my money on something that will just sit on the garage floor.

im runing one on my rs,
got a full stage thrre head, piper cam, enlarged ports and valves, and port matched inlet manifold (plus obviouse fulling and a few tweaks to bottom end

im currently running around 25 psi att he mo,
there isnt much power below 3 (theres none)
sarts making boost at 3 and comes in really fast from there

not advisable for a everyday car!

stage 3 t3 is adequate to around 260bhp on an rst, anything else is overkill and not needed unless power figures are more important than driveability
