the s1's are 1.3 8v 100bhp

the s2's are 1.6 8v and there 100bhp aswell IIRC

Although a suprisingly large amount now have the 1.6 16v engine's in them from the gti / vts

power to weight must be very good on this car , very nippy little car i had my windows down and it sounded like it had carbs

My brothers got a Series 2 106 Rallye and it is a QUALITY car!! It revs like fuck and really does go for what it is…handles very well as standard but the brakes are crap

 

my mates got an xsi, but its got the 1.6 VTS engine in it, and its stripped and caged too.

goes like fuck!

great handling, and the 306gti brakes fit under the std wheels!

 

the one i saw must of had the vts engine in as it was way to quick for 100bhp..fook nows

my mates got a supercharged gti with a low comp vts engine in it,made 200@wheels and goes like shit off a shovel

 

capable little cars have had a couple of 106 rallyes in the past and a stripped out 106 gti with 160bhp.... a few standard sierra cossys had to move over in the past lol. cracking little cars.

Great cars, never had so much fun in any other car i've driven.

Got a white S1 myself, currently doing a bit of repairs to the engine tho as i killed the big ends =( *tear*

Best thing about the car has to be the sound, from about 4.5+ sounds like an absolute monster. Lots of mods available

100bhp, handles like a go-kart, outstanding little car!

 

a fiesta st owner runnin 165bhp lost a qtr race to an xsi the st ran 15.8 an the pug ran 15.2 was runnin a std engine aswell
