big valves ?

Default big valves ?

i have a jamsport ported head but want to fit bigger inlet valves 43 mm do i need to get the valve seats recut or can i just fit them ?

why do u need bigger valves??

because i have a old power engineering head which is fooked and want to use the the inlet valves out of it why i have got my head in bits

wats the point if u dont need then , mines makin 334bhp on standard size valves so is there any need to change them

i know what your saying my big valve powers head made 224 bhp and with the jamsport standard valve head did 239 bhp at the same boost i just wanna fit the valves as its not gonna cost me and there not waisting away on the shelf

sell the head and make a bit of cash and spend it to get sum more power

Pretty sure the valve seats need removing and replacing with bigger ones.....

Yes, you need to change the seat so it's going to cost you alot.

bigger valves only only reuired if you want a high rpm motor
boosted cvh's flow well with a bit of work with standard valves
and as we all know , they DO NOT like high rpm!

mine revs to 7.5k and will run between 2 and 2.25 bar
on standard valves

mine revs to 7 with a modified cvh 22 cam , my mates 8.5k sidedraught motor lasted 5000k at best , ,rocker studs tend to break off!

valve seats only need changing when going over 43.5 mm on a cvh so a recut will be fine bruv
