Default anyone good with megasquirt ?

ok ive managed to get the engine running, however it seems very rough like its running on 3???

also in megatune what dial do i need to keep my eye one to watch to see if its running lean or too rich?

anyone good with megasqirt and can help.

ive looked at the manual but need more help.

p.s its runing on a ZT.

the mixture is prob way out. Have you got a wideband lambda sensor/controller?

im only useing the narrowband sensor mate,


heres my current constants settings



im useing bosch 803 injectors 2.0 mondeo engine.

You're pissing in the wind without a wideband lambda. Turn the car off and purchase an Innovate LC-1. Then come back, reconfigure MegaTune to use it, and you're away!

yep garage19 is the man with megatune . yes buy a wideband but the lc1 aint the best ive had loads of reliability prob with them went through 4 in a month at one stage jim galley has has sinlar probs to .

would the Bosch LSU4.2 Wideband 5 Wire Oxygen Sensor work in place of my exsisting lambda sensor ?

its 5 wires not sure how many wires my exicsting ford lamba is.

no you need a wideband controler to operate it with a 0-5 volt output to run to one of the ecu inputs , you will have to use the narrow band to direct feed the ecu !

i was told this by loads of people so im passing it on to you go and buy dave walkers ecu haynes manual it will explain alot to you and make things a bit clearer

ok mate where do i get hold of a copy.

guess im going to need the AEM 6-in-1 Gauge Type Wideband UEGO Controller

also anyone know what sort of price im looking at to get it tuned by any rolling road?

then again its a new engine and heard they wont touch it untill the engine has been run in currently theres no tax or mot as its been off road for 5 years to cant even take it out to run it in

look the more u try and short cut the more confusion you a breading in my dash i have the zeixtrinics afr and engine monitor and a fuel preasure gauge to keep my third eye on things

so first buy a afr gauge that logs afr /rpm/tps/boost then a fuel pressure gauge to that the pump and the regulator are supplying

buy the book mate because then ignition comes into play wich is really hard bit to get right as to little no power to much no pistons

mate any good tuner will set ur car up to any possible application so u get it towed there tell them it needs running in they will set it up for that

yeah good idea what the average price to get it setup?

as heard it uselly takes around 4-5 hours to setup.

it really depends on how much fiddling is needed before they start tuning , ur in brum yeh karl norris is in coventry i think give him a call see wat he wants for the job or if you fancy a weekend away theres stu msd in blackpool but be warned these are quality tuners so they will have a waiting list
