Had my car chipped by paul hills and would so he is very good but on engine building i am not to sure but he did build looney's escort cossie and he has just recently build my mate feista Rs which is quite quick only thing i would say i found that paul at ea can be abit pricey!

Never heard anything bad about EA to be honest. My man Rob at SCC Performance is excellent but may be a bit too far out for you.

They are on 01727 867747 though

never had a bad word to say about paul hills inc his engine building.

my old CGI engine was built there, which later found its way into Aarons black series one, and the engine was top draw

also allways taken my car there for mapping etc and allways gives top service and advice

I'm not actually having much done. Just had my ECU chipped. Once I get my new rad in, I'm taking it for a set-up on his dyno pack. Charging £110 + VAT. I thought its not too bad. Would love to get it done @ MSD, but South Brum to Blackpool and back is a lot of fuel, and a fair bit out of my 5k mileage allowance.

You not rate him then? I'm sure he will do a good job setting it up on the rollers.

Anyone else to recommend round my way? (Bearing in miond my car must be driven off boost to a tuner, until it is mapped.)

Only tuning companys I have experience of are Turbosystems.. Tony is a really nice fella who never actually tried to sell me anything. He provided me with good sound advice, I had an engine and box for my turbo built after discussing the type of roads I drive on and traffic etc... the engine is strong and still in one peice today as is the gearbox after a good few years of abuse.... I would most certainly reccomend Turbosystems to anyone in that area of willing to travel.
I live just up the road from Power Engineering and as such used them first of all simply because they were very close... however the information I obtained from there was poor and the products provided were not suitable for my requirements even though it was clear from the start that I required guidence at that time..... my experiences were not positive in any way. To the point if my car broke down outside the workshop I would call the AA
oddkiddcreations are going to be doing some bits to my car shortly and Jano seems to be very helpfull and have great knowledge in this area, if your interested in management hes well worth talking to about your needs

RIGHT SOME INFO

the fella that original asked the qusetions has now got a skyline

heres how the RST's story went

he went to oddkidd ceations for original set up to get it running

then for proper power run and set up power enginering

then to engine advantages for more boost they fitted a -31 it made 180 @ 14psi only had k 'n' n and exhaust, on standard cooler

then to jam sport with a new intercooler and new clutch it made 201bhp with just 16psi and a custom front mount from auto specialists(yep the chrome polple)

then the air flow meter died and it went back to oddkidd creations and sold to his mate

its got one strong engine and no ones knows the internal spec not even tel cos he got in from a dealers
