Default Massive back fire very strange....

Hi there, well I was coming back from work today when I was overtaking someone and my car basically cut out for a second and had a massive backfire.. I sh*t myself but then it drove as normal.. I know loads of things could course this but was wondering

, I have a bleed valve on and its running 13-14psi but un modded ecu. Is it because the car is basically not able to cope with that amount of boost?

Im going to Motorsport developments to have it set up when Ive got d cash to have it remapped etc, should this hopefully eliminate it?

Im going to turn the bleed valve right down to standard so as not to get over boost..

Any one any other ideas why this could happen? The car runs perfect most of the time but when Im giving it some on current settings it cuts out like its a rev limiter...

Thanks for your help again guys.....

If you have a standard ECU thats the boost limiter cutting in, turn it down!!!!!!

Also the same thing happens when your distributor sensor starts breaking down

If your ecu aint chipped it should'nt boost above 10psi so thats the ecu cutting the ignition and then when you backed off thats when the bang happed??

You say youve fully screwed the bleed valve in and its still running 10psi?

Someones been playing with the actuator at some point by the sounds of it
