ok, so far i have changed the Cam, vernier pully, New tappets, new oil stem seals, but when the car is started it sounds tappetty, is this cos my cam is not new? The plan is to buy a new one and a new head, but for the interrim i never planed on buying a new one as i didnt want to spend 300notes and fook it up, but for the time being is there anything i can do to reduce the tappetty noise? its not overally bad, but i just notice it and wondered if it can be quiterned

Ranj, how would you clean/de-clog the pick up tube?
Or is it a sump off job?
Other thing I know of, Tried Mobil and Castol oil, one taps when cold, other don't

Fitted a new cam and ANOTHER set of followers, valve stems and the locking nuts. Bed the cam in correctly for the first 20 mins. And it stopped.
Make of that what you will
