Default .:Massive Big-up to...err...loadsa people!!:.

After having my traction kit fitted by Danny @ Adrenaline I was a bit worried about my shiny new Pro-Alloy intercooler fitting on the mounting points he'd worked into the front torsion bar but it fitted like a glove

Old vs New Black intercooler with Silver PRO logo:

All fitted by the boys at B.A.R.:

I've got a new heat-shield for my turbo too as a broken turbo bracket shook the last one to death but I haven't fitted it yet because Ford have discontinued the damn brackets! As soon as I have that sorted and the re-map done It should be all gravy for a while

So massive thanks to:

Wayne @ Pro-Alloy - the new cooler fitted easily and is exactly what I wanted, looks the nuts and I'm sure she's a bit quicker!
Danny @ Adrenaline - lovely bit of fabrication, fits like it was always meant to be there and launches+corners are now tooo much fun!
Liam and Keir @ B.A.R - top work as always fellas, see ya soon!!
BillyCabrio for sorting out that fella at the ford parts desk!!

All Finished

Looking good James

I take it that the upgrade CHARGE COOLER pre rad and not a INTERCOOLER? If so I like the look of those Black Pro alloy pre rads and they are so much deeper than a std ford one.

I would love to do a charge air test on the std one and a upgrade one to see what the actual difference is in air temps. I sometimes feel my FRS pulls better when the car has been on the motorway for a little stint and I reckon its because the charge air temps have dropped.

Whats this about a re-map then? who's going to re-map it for you then james?

Looking good m8

PMSL that was funny guess she couldn't find anything to moan at me about!!

Andy yeah it's the pre-rad upgrade, not sure yet if it's made a difference to power, I think it's driving better but that's probably in my head!! As for the management...we will have to wait and see

Cheers Benn and Anna

the intercoolers are not cheap and you need to relocate the battery

I have the stealth pro cooler as well nearly twice as deep

I guess he is going to have it live mapped I was talking to Clint @ the old school turbosport meet last week and they can do a fair bit on our ECU's as you can just flash em

On the lookout for parts now and hope to see a few more BHP in the next few weeks

I kept thinking in the back of my head, if the FRS is only this fast compaired to "the general", imagine how my old RST would have pulled past it in a straight line

ROFL he's got a few grand to go to catch up!!

I rang Superchips, they want Ł300 and the car for 3-4hrs to write a custom map for all the mods so that might be the way to go until some proper management solutions come out

Blah and Andy....Dream on!!

Shockingly enough, your old Series 2 would probably give your Focus more of a run for it's money. However, if you get the general's act's down to the 24 - 26 mark, you're in trouble. Darrens Esc Cos was the other night on the way out the M20 roadworks

YEah, you remember Darren with the White Series 2 who used to live down the road from me ? He brought the Esc Cos to the essex meet

Mind you, I went in a weapon of a Fezzy Turbo yesterday m8. Chatter out of it is fucking awesome And it's gonna be even more of a weapon soon. Performance Ford Grudge match idea's flown out the window, headed south, and set up shop in the land down under

Know anywhere I can get a 1.9 lump sharpish

Bish, Secret society ......................

Kev dont hold your breath, i seem to remember JonERST wanted his RST mapped by clint who started it off and never finished it even after months and months of waiting

Dan, you should have bought my old RST and done an engine swap with yours and then sold my shell off with your engine in. You would have loved the way that engine went and you might have found out if it really was a 1.9
