Default Quick Amal Valve question

Just a quickie folks.

The Amal Valve on the 4x4 saff cossie, should you hear it clicking while revving the engine?

I'm pretty sure that it should only work on boost and not while sitting still just revving the engine

Am i right?

If its clicking dose that mean its knackered?

Cheers for any info.

Should only hear it click when the ignition is on stage 2 mate not when revving.

Depends on the boost strategy mate, some maps will pulse it at around 3000rpm at approx 2hz to smooth the boost climb on 4x4s. Some of my strategies are programmed this way.

The thing is clicking like mad while the engine is being revved up so im thinking that it might be something else thats the problem.

Mine did the exact same thing, change dthe amal valve and was ok for a few days. Turned out it was the connections, so replaced them and new wiring.
