After a new phone, any worth looking out for?

No real requirements, must phone, send sms, and have a camera, video recording would be a brucey bonus.

 

best thing to do is get a mag from a phone shop and look at them all,so many to chose from and different things on then.

pick one to suit your needs as everyone has different preferences.

 

Most phones will do all that these days tbh. But if you are going for a contract and want a recommendation then the Sony Ericcson W810i is excellent. Got the Walkman mp3 player built in on top of 2MP camera and the usual.

One to avoid by all accounts is the Nokia N70

I'm waiting for the Ericsson K800i although they do keep putting the date back!!

 

I have a Sony Ericsson w810i.

These are not a smartphone (i have a PDA for that) but as a phone they function very well with some nice extra touches.

its main selling point is the Walkman branded MP3 player function - not bad, only problem it lacks is the way it sorts track orders.

also consider the nokia 6820, these are popular phones at the moment, also the N80 and and the N91 (these are a much bigger than they look in a picture but 4GB built in memory )

 

Samsung D800

 

The other half has the Nokia N80, it's a really nice phone.
The camera is spot on, it takes amazing shots & the zoom is pucker!!!
Its a little on the big side compared to others on the market but its still a good phone. Also you can get it in a really nice black finish or a chrome

 

Samsung E900, very cool fone by all accounts, got mine this morning.

 

There are a few things about the samsung e900 that have put me off of it to be honest, things that are similar to all samsungs. Having had sony ericsson's for the last couple i find them the most user friendly and they best meet my needs. I would recommend you go to a few phone shops and go try a few out, its hard to make a decision without knowing what you personally like.

The K800i comes out today on O2, just about to order mine now...

 

Had the W810i for a week or two now, absolutely love it!

 

i rang O2 earlier to upgrade my phone and they said the k800i
will b out wednesday
