Default 1999 MONDEO 2.0 REMOVE THE ABS????

Hi, Im wondering if anyone can shed some light on a problem im having with a v reg mondeo 2.0 automatic. It seems I have a problem with my abs as the abs , handbrake, and traction light are all stuck on. Ive checked everything and it seems that the abs module is at fault.
I want to remove the abs altogether and wondered if anyone knows how much of a job it is. I know they still made mondeos up to x reg without abs. So its obviously possible
Anyone had any expirience at this job?
Is it as straightforward as removing the abs module and fitting brake pipes from a non abs model?
Or could I get new pipes made up especially? would I need a bias valve?
Any help would be greatly appriciated

To be honest mate its not that hard of a job to replace the abs unit on the mondeo its just bellow the master cylinder on the bulkhead, if thats what is causing the problems.

To get the car past an mot after removing the abs is also going to be dependant on the mot tester some will pass it as long as the brakes work some will complain that the abs should be fitted according to vosa as long as all the components are removed then it should pass no problems.

As the traction light is up too i would suspect that perhaps you have a dodgy wheel sensor might be worth wippint the 4 of them out cleaning them up and checking the wires etc not gonna cost any thing but time.

If you still get no joy it maybe worth running it in to ford to get them to diagnose it then decide what ya wanna do.

bypassing the abs pump is not too much like hard work but if i remember right you will need to use the brake lines from a non abs car defo less hasstle to just change the pump only 4 bolts and the lines quick blead job done.
