Hose clip sizes for S2 RST.

After fitting boost, water and ancilliary hoses I wanna replace all the old clips.

does anyone have a list of the sizes?

all u get is the list of different sizes availiable. Not actual sizes you need for each hose.

BTW, i dontthink you can get the original clips anymore, just bland clips with no ford logo's on

I've got a big box full of clips off RST's, if you need a load, PM me sizes and quantities

 

small ones will be 13mm, then 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 51mm and possibly bigger for the boost hoses however i 'think' they are 51mm but not sure
Ah just thought the header tank/turbo water feed ones might be 9mm but i doubt it!

 

I think if no ones got a true list I will make one up and post here after I done mine.

u're rigth ford ones dont have the ford logo on n e more.

it misses out 2 water hoses (heater matrix and the other on the Y splitter) but 1 hose out of the lot is a non water hose (rocker cover to main block)! Dont understand!

how much were they all? Were they samcos? I wouldnt mind doing mine

 

just go down your local motor factors or fittings place and get a load of jubilee clips

do they really have to be ford!

 

Lee I got mine from cossymad for a fair price, but keep an eye out at the shows, they are a bit cheaper if u buy them on the day.

Dave, I never said I wanted ford ones, just want stainless steel ones.

I got all mine on the day at ford fair for a good price,

Tell me about it, I need to get them extra two from roosemotorsport But now will have roosemotorsport stamped on aswell as samco Ah well u dont see them really at the back.

Have fun fitting the rocker cover to block one mate? Did it last week, the standard one just would not come off, coont! Got there in the end

adam, yeah that one is a bitch, but did u just pull it off or try and remove the clip? I tried to get the clip off which werent easy at all! And the samco ones are bigger than the originals so the clips wont go back on! - which is y Ive decided to just replace everything with new clips.

does roose have a website?

 

The best way is to remove the spring clips, and carfully slice up the side ofthe pipe with a razor blade, comes off quick then

 

Essex & Till, yup that is what I did, I got the clip of with my finger and mole grips, my finger was hurting! owwww I got the clip off but it was welded, slit the side of it and bent/pulled it off.... Like u say new one goes straight on and I opted to use a jubilee clip instead, lots better

 

I must have been lucky then, mine came straight off after messing about getting the clip off for 10 mins.

Mines a new engine though so its only recently been on.

 

Ahh, yea see mine is a standard original which would have been on there sinse 89 I am gunna speak to Paul (Roose) about the other hoses He deals a lot of rsoc BB

Right guys went down to burtons at the weekend and they have a list of all the clips needed. Though in stainless steel form its not cheap!!!

3 x 50-70mm
5 x 60-80mm
4 x 35-50mm
1 x 25-35mm
1 x 22-30mm
2 x 11-16mm
6 x 22-30mm

I've yet to fit em yet so I will update if anything of this is wrong.
