Rico Meisel from Switzerland was there with a Merc 190E, only it had an ex F1 Judd V8 engine in it.

Osnabrueck hillclimb 14/15th August.
I was between 6 and 8 seconds behind the Ex DTM works AMG Mercedes driven by M Wustefeld.

Off to Austria next weekend, second last event of the season.
There are 10 Escort cosworths in the over +2000 klasse, most of them with over 500ps.
Gabat, Zink etc. my little escort is going to get swallowed up.
never mind, to be part of the event is something else.
see www.bergrennen.at
then starter list online, there should be some videos from last year somewhere.

Entries for St Agatha, Austria and Mickhausen, Germany have both been accepted, brilliant.
The entry list for St Agatha has a lot of Escort WRC cars, will take some photos and post them later.
The entry list for Mickhausen has two Judd F1 powered cars, one in a Merc 190 and one in a BMW 320 chassis.
Two DTM Astra coupe's and a couple of very fast Porsches.
Also the French champ and course record holder in a F3000 Reynard car is also coming along.
see entry list at www.asc-bobingen.de

Mickhausen was brilliant, over 20,000 spectators. The only problem with the event is, the track is only 2.2km and a little bit straight.

.I would like to thank you for sharing those with us,and giving us a taste of motorsport from abroad. I think those cars represent the extremes of what can be done with normal cars, and what most of us can only dream of owning.
Thanks KennyA and dont let the lack of enthusiasm put you off posting more links.

cheers Brigsport
the atmosphere is difficult to get across on a forum, let me just say to walk amongst all those cars is something else. To stand 10 ft from the back of a F3000 car when it moves off the line is pretty good too.
And this is definately the correct forum, a few of the engines were Ford V8 Cosworths.
A Judd V8 in a BMW 3 series chassis, crazy and fast.
Those photos are only a small proportion of the cars at the event. I will post some more cars tomorrow.
Kenny.
