Default Are Cosworth main & big end bearings the same as pinto ?

Hi, I am rebuilding my cossie bottom end at the moment and being from Australia cosworth parts are not available here, although we had pintos in escorts and cortinas so pinto bearings are available.

I know that the cossie crank is the same dimensions as the pinto crank, so does this mean that there is no difference between pinto bearings and cossie bearings ?

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
Damion

ummmmmmmmmmmm
i think its more to do with the differences in what the crank is made from, or how its finished.

not sure, but i was told by bluesprint among other places to only use
glacier vandervell, (standard ford bearings in YBs)
just passing on the info the people in the know told me

Phil, Pinto bearings are also available from Vandervell, there must be more to it than material alone..

yea this is true!!
maybe the cosworth Yb ones are harder wearing than the pinto ones
as there is obviously gonna be more force put through them than the pinto unit??

Thanks for the offer Gavan, but with something small like big end bearings it's easy enough for them to be sent in the post

Cheers.
