Right so the rs turbo never had a 1.9 engine except if it was converted

all 1.6 cvh as above, 1.8,1.9.2.1 are very common conversions

the 1.9 comes from an american escort. also a bored out and re-stroked 1.8 block

Don't forget the RS1700T but that was an entirely seperate entity.

A normal Series 2 will only ever be a 1.6 CVH from the factory

i didnt know they made a 1700cvh. i thought it was a modification to the 1600

I don't know the specific ins and outs of the RS1700T, IIRC Cosworth had their hands in on it.........

RS1700T was so far away from a MK3 Escort that it's not worth worrying about in this discussion - It's how all Mk3's should have been - RWD! BDA turbocharged engine no relation at all to CVH
