Is the puff black or blue?

if black its overfuelling if blue oil

Check turbo outlet to cooler is there oil if so turbo seals have gone. if you have replaced turbo have you cleaned out intercooler? oil residue in cooler when hot goes into intake and burns

Also breather block under intake is that clean? excess pressure will cause piston blow by..

What chip and injectors are you using? ab chips overfuel a lot

Hope you get it sorted m8

this sounds exactly the same as my car.only on over run and then slightly touching the throttle will give a puff of smoke. smokes a little on acceleration too. the head has just been refurbed and its a 10k mile rebuilt block so guessing its neither of those things. could it be the turbo then??

Check you turbo to cooler pipe for oil this would be a good indication that seals are on there way

I guy called roger carty has had the car, and we have put a new turbo on, one that we no doesent smoke and still does it. checked all compressions, leakeage test, all ok, the car is running greens, but its still in running in stage.

Car is on just mineral 10-40. to run in. do u really think it could be the grade of oil??

anyway had 18 months now done 1000 miles, sickener.

oh and stem seals were done as were guides. had new rings etc.

going to get fuelling checked, think it could be bore wash, not so shore though.

and its definatly a light blueish.

At a wild guess i would say either your turbo or valve stem oil seals... But as i've changed both then i dunno...

When my turbo failed there was oil all in the exhaust for months after i replaced it...Takes so long to burn off!

i have a similar problem, smokes on over run and quite badly also

the engine i have rebuild using new seals and valve guides and new rings etc
also running a tidy breather system and no kidney box and no breather return to air box either
so im guess mine will be turbo seals , im booked in a interpro for a tune/check up soon so ill know more then

im running t34/rs500 intercooler, plenum spacer ,greys,3bar, and is running rich so that wont help either

ill reply after my tune up with an answer
