Default Scorpion Exhausts

Are scorpion exhausts restrictive? i have a series 2 and i've been told that the scorpion could be holding back power as there is a bend on them that actually makes them more restrictive than the standard system. Would i be better off with a mongoose?

the pipe bore thru the back box is quite restrictive, get a mongoose or magnex...

from what I have seen they were, but newer versions have same silencer internal diameter as the pipe, so should be similar to mongooses.

I heard the same thing as Youth TBH.... I have a Scorpion on me S1 and initial response was to change it to a Mongoose like I had on me last S1, but TBH, I actually quite like this Mongoose. It gives a real nice sound without being overly loud and *roary* like the Mongoose was... So might keep it

I had a scorpion on my old s2 but it was a very old one, and having kalr check it, it was fine!

I think the newer types were more restrictive.

scorpion would let my old car pull to 4k then slowly upto near 6k.. it was a weird feelin... not so much holdin back from 4-6k, but just different from 1-4k

changed to a mongoose and it pulled all the way like fook

I just found out that the exhaust i have came from a car that blew its turbo. I've read somewhere that this could have clogged the exhaust up? don't know if its true, but i'd rather clean out my exhaust than have to buy a new one.
