Default RS500 no.4 fuel pump problems

A mate of mine is rebuilding his RS500 prototype no.4 and he's having troubles with the fuel pump.

He drove the car in the garage last year and now it refuses to start at all.

Is their a inertia switch like on the Esc Cos and if so, where is it?

He does have a wiring diagram of a LHD 3door but is the RS500 the same as that?

Can anybody please help us???

I cant think of any kill switch on the 500's. the wiring is more or less the same as the 3 doors so should be ok! maybe best to check the fuel pump relay in beside the ECU. or check the voltage at the pump it may just be kapoot.

Fuel pump is fine.
We now think that the ECU is the cause of our troubles.

as above.

the fuel pump is trigger by the ECU via pin 28 to a Relay.

u might want to check u have a spark aswell.

I.e u might not be getting power to the ECU.

I was havign starting issues, engine would crank and crank but never fire, unless i gave it LOADS AND LOADS of fuel, then it would go with a massive cloud of smoke.

took my cosworth to jay at jj performance, he changed all the sensors and serviced it, now its sweet as a nut.

top marks jay.

im betting number 4 has a faulty or dirty sensor.

Problem solved.

The cultrip was the ECU.
New ECU and she fired the first time.

Bit strange for an ECU to pack up from standing still, don't you think???
