quick question how much power would a rs turbo need to beat a scooby 2.5 sti as some twat as got one and been saying no old escort is going to keep up with him whatever its had done to it

 

ive beat 2 a 55 plate dont no wat it was ,was when i had 292 bhp and a t plate sti pro drive or sumthin ment to be 300bhp and i was on low boost 16psi

and a evo 6 on the way to pod

When i was running 235hp i had a VERY close race with a 290hp WRX, killing him would of taken something special. Was off the line though.

 

I had 220bhp in my s1 and it was neck and neck between me n a wrx sti 03 plate off of a r'about from 25mph to ..... 70 ... officer

 

An Impreza is gonna have a massive advantage off the line over most FWD escorts due to the 4wd. notSteveS2 nice to hear you beat a scooby with that power, I'm not going to have that much power but still willing to give one a go.

 

Its all relative,300bhp in a car thats weighed down by subs and seats may only stand the same chance as a 250bhp one thats been on a diet!

 

Dont forget the losses of a 4x4 transmission over 2wd. My mate had a 93 WRX Impreza with a front mount intercooler, exhaust with no cats, chip etc running 16 psi and he couldn't shake me when I was runningmy S2 at 18psi. Since then I've gained a bit more boost and the cars been on a diet.

I now have ample Scooby kills under my belt

i had arun in with a rb 5 supposedly chipped pulled out to over take me we went a about mile and a half side by side he couldn't get past, the guy was in the car himself i was 2 up lol!!!i'm running 1800 zvh 13 psi boost the only thing that let me down was the fucking brakes ... but when i spoke to the guy he was well impressed with the s2 something like "Fucking hell that thing is quick!!" made my day.

A Subaru or EVO dosen't come with driving skills or technical skills. So against a sorted scooby or evo with a skilled driver, no chance.

 

i agree i can shock a few ppl with the turbos speed but if i had an sti the corner speeds would be too good....

still, every C***ts got a subaru, i like the old school attraction

Yeah as said don't take too much skill in a straight line, and a well setup scooby or evo will flatter most drivers anyway in the twisties.

 

id like to see much at all keep up with an EVO thru twisties....
