Default BIG Problems whit my Sierra 4x4 Cossy

Hello to everyone

this is my first topic here in Passionford.com

I have bought a Sierra 4x4 Cosworth last year whit a front damage.

The turbocharger is a T34 with .60 A/R Compressor Housing
/ .63 A/R Turbine Housing, injectors are the blue standart on the 4x4 and the MAP Sensor is a 2 bar (standart MAP).

After the damage i have fitted a bigger Intercooler, but i donn't have the standart amal valve which is brocken.

Is it possible to drive whithout the amal valve and how much boost can the engine run with the T34 and standart MAP (without the amal valve).

In the ECU is a Babyboard with chip and it is written 280PS and something in Itialian language.

How much fuel pressure should be set.

Yes, if you have a bleed valve, otherwise, I don't think you'll have any sort of boost control and that would not be a good idea.

Whether you have an amal valve or not won't make a difference.
Not sure how much boost you can reliably run with a T34, a T3 would be maximum 1bar (15psi) with standard injectors, so I would have thought a T34 would have to run less boost than that, otherwise you will run lean.

Don't know.

Are there any specialists round your area who could make sure the car is setup properly ?
Also, might be a good idea to check the fuel pump and filters aren't too old.

You can run without an amal valve by connecting the actuator pipe straight to the compressor housing. The amount of boost the turbo produces will then be dependant on the actuator spring rate (ie a standard actuator will run less boost than a -34 actuator).

The chip will not have specced for use with the T34 if it is an off-the-shelf chip for use with standard injectors. The turbo will produce more air than a T3, so the engine could well be running lean on boost. Bang.

Get a proper set-up, or an off-the-shelf chip, actuator, map sensor, and injectors to suit the turbo.

blue 4x4 injectors and 2 bar MAP sensor are not a good combination with a t34

as said above, either get it set up by a proffessional, or read a lot of topics on here before driving it with any boost.

where are you? perhaps we can recomend someone to help you
