Default Painting Cam Covers

How do you go about doing this?

What kind of paint do you need to withstand the heat and will it last if I do or is it better to get it powdercoated?

If you search there is a similar thread about this. You dont need any kind of special heatproof paint, normal automotive paint works fine

I would powdercoat but get it blasted yourself first, then you know its been cleaned properly I think that normail automotive paint will not last that long and you will have to redo it in a couple of years.

Not if it's 2 pac. Much better finish than powder coat too.

Same as mine mate, but my bores are ok. Its in AVA just now. Wondering whether to just get them to strip the full engine & clean it or just buy another one dunno which would be cheaper

I wanted mine satin black - but have been told am having it mercury grey
Will have to be careful if any work is carried out that it doesn't get scratched
My cambelt cover is painted and lacquered to - gets removed when things are being worked on
