No special tool that I am aware of, certainly didn't need one when I did them on my cossies.
You first need to remove the split pin (bit of wire running through a hole in the thread).
Then, a 17mm socket should get the nut off, I would try and get some WD40 or similar on there first though.
Make sure you get new split pins to put in there when you fit everything back together, they're there for a reason
Oh, you might need a balljoint separator once you have the nut off though, to separate the two "bits". Be careful not to damage the rubber seal on the bottom "thingy".

) ratchet & socket/spanner
Pliers (to remove the split pin)
Ball joint breaker, but for those who don't have one a fucking massive lump hammer usually works
remove the split pin, undo the nut, smash the fuck out of the track rod end until it pops out. Job done
I reckon you should strip your gearbox down next

smash the fuck out of the track rod end until it pops out
you want to be hitting the part of the hub that the rod end goes through!! it will then spring up and out

loosen then leave the nut on the thread for a good few turns then give it a slight knock to get it ot of the hub with out damaging the threads

Well, i didnt...i was lookin in the wrong place, i was meant to be looking at the balljoint held in place by the Torx bolt.
driveshaft is now out and the box is draining its oil (most of it over the garage floor
)

Scoop the oil up put it through some filter paper.......good as new
