Tools you need:

17 (maybe 15mm ) ratchet & socket/spanner
Pliers (to remove the split pin)
Ball joint breaker, but for those who don't have one a fucking massive lump hammer usually works

remove the split pin, undo the nut, smash the fuck out of the track rod end until it pops out. Job done

I reckon you should strip your gearbox down next
