Timing belt question.....
I have just replaced my headgasket with a group A item.
I have been told there is a mistake in the Ford technical manual on setting up the timing marks...
Could somebody just verify the correct marks to use on the bottom pulley and distributor drive pulley?.
Also when you set the rotor arm to the distributor mark - is it the centre of the arm to the mark or the leading edge?.
In the event of you not having a tensioning tool handy is a 90 degree twist on the longest section ok, or is there a better way?
I guess you can never be too carefull, so i am asking the resident experts!
Regards
Andy

use the lug to the left of the vee markings on the bottom pulley to find 16 degrees btdc,
the centre of the rotor arm should be lined up to the mark on the body of the dizzy,
the markers on the cam pulleys should face each other and also line up with the cam cover gasket,
hope this helps
