Default CLUTCH OR ENGINE MOUNTSS?????

hey guys and gal how ya all doin? ok here's the deal about 2 maybe 3 months ago i had a AP 4paddle with standard casing fitted to my s2 rst. I also have a judder when pulling off and changing gear and when im coming down the gears is this the clutch or engine mounts??

Im guessing its engine gearbox mounts hence the clunking everytime i pull off i have some up rated engine mounts ready to be fitted will this cure the judder??

If its relavent if i grab hold of the back manifold to the TB i can move the engine back and fourth and there is a fair bit of play in the mounts i can see them moving

let me know what you suggest on this coz im despate to get it sorted as the missus is moaning big time cheers.

Has the judder only been there since the clutch was fitted? Was the fly wheel faced when fitted. I had a paddle clucth in my s2 with the flywheel faced and that juddered a lot. I think its a common thing with them see what other ppl say about theres.

Best way mate, get a friend round, or you may even see yourself, open the bonnet handbrake on, and go as if you are pulling off in 1st, you will have to give it a bit more stick though, and if a mount has gone u will see the engine popping up.......

All engines rock a bit, unlikely u will be able to pop the mount out if it is broken that way though, doing it with the handbrake on though u will be able to tell a lot more.

It wont hurt to replace the engine mounts AND the gearbox mounts (i did on my RST and feels really nice) BUT the judder problem is most likely just the fact you have a paddle clutch

what sort of power you running? If its not massive, you would be better going for a AP organic clutch, they dont judder and will handle a reasonable amount of power

hello mate just done the engine gearbox mounts over the weekend and it does feel alot better althought there is still a bit of judder but not half as bad as it was, ive had the ap 4 paddle in for about 3-4 months now kind of thought it would of run in now im running about 220bhp i thought the ap organic are good for 180+
