What clutch combination are you using on your car? Mine is just not able to cope with high boost any more and just wanted to gain some opinions of others running simular power.
Having never driven a paddel clutch car I dont know what to expect, is it really that harsh? I do a fair number of miles just driving in traffic - will this kill the clutch in a short period of time? Also what sort of millage can i expect out of a paddel clutch?
Also have you had anything special done to the flywheel, again, any recommendations?
Thanks to those who have already given me their 2 pence worth btw
Cheers,
Dan

I told you once

What I didn't say was about the flywheel. The flywheel was and clutch were all balanced together with the crank and rods, and the flywheel was also re- faced, but not lightened.
Hope that helps dude

Cheers Tony, are you still using a clutch cable btw?
U will kill the the paddle with traffic driving. I've seen 28psi on my t34, so thats some torque, and the AP organic has been spot on. It's always going to be a compromise somewhere.

Re: Paddle Clutch...
When I used to drive mine on the road I found driving in traffic was ok,but you had to rev to about 2,000 rpm and slip the clutch as you moved away. This in my opinion will kill the clutch fairly quickly.Regards Micky

the new extrahigh torque clutchkit from AP is the Cp2000-35 ,which is rated to 310Nm (230lbft)
the 'old' organic clutch one,Cp2000-8 is rated to 230Nm (169)
there is also the paddle clutch kit, which is rated to 230Nm as well,
so the best option would be the 2000-35,which costs a bit more but well worth it imho
and AP stays very far on the safe side with their ratings

the old 2000-8 organic i had was ok at first but as the power went up it started to slip in 4th then after i went efi i went paddle never looked back drives better than my organic did on track but not to good on set off as said above try the higher rated organic cos i dont think many have yet.
AP are very conservative with the torque ratings of there components [for obvious warrenty reasons]. I run 200lb/ft on the CP2000-8 which is rated at 169.
So it maybe worth you giving that new plate a go

Personally, I use an Alcon 6-paddle and it has been spot-on.
