Default Ideas for Boost gauges....

Any reccomedations for boost gauges? its not gunna be a permanent install, just a bit of diagnosing as i think my boost level has dropped a tad and i cant really use the in-car one to do it. Are there any with recall? can be digital or analogue.

Cheers boys/girls
Mike

hello mate, hows you?

Yeah, karl said it had lost a couple of psi when i took it for a setup last, he shortened the rod, and was back up to normal, but that was only a couple of months ago. The actuator was second hand when i bought it anyway, so its a possibilty. Just doesnt feel as quick as it used to. Maybe i need a 34 and some greens

rolls, yep, 52mm white old style ones, dont know why i bought white, looks shit where i have them now ....

oil pressure was only meant to be temp, its been there nearly 3 years now

ian, LOL smart ass! same as mine then, my guage just wont go above what it says there lol it resets goes nuts drops to 0 with flashing red lights until the rpm climbs to about 6k then it jumps back up and reads what it says there before it drops off to about 28psi @ 7500

LOL Matt! I had the defi boost guage but had to sell it as I was pissed off with it every time you booted it and it went over 2 bar!

What shows you doing this year mate? We are all at Cumria on the 24th.....

Boxxer, the Apexi one has the controller built in, but this is reflected in the price! Be sat down when you phone Mike R!

pmsl, fair enough! dont think i will go that option then. All i wanna do is find out my peak boost, as i think my car is running less than it should be. Its not gunna be a permanent install so i suppose a normal gauge is the only way?

nope - SPA has it all built in, you screw in the pressure sensor and plug in the loom and press a button

If you want a cheap / accurate functional boost gauge then go for one of Nomads!
It won't sing you a lullaby or make you a cup of tea but it will tell you what boost pressure you have

the only reason i ask about autometer is that the importer is only up the road from me.

I had autometer ones in my old xr2, and thought they were great - good value for money, and seemed to be pretty acurate........
