I have just taken the clutch off my flywheel and found it to be an ap racing one with the clutch friction plate itself looking almost new. in the middle where the input shaft goes is a bit wobbly compared to the new black doamond clutch i have bought. I will need to skim the flywheel and the black diamond clutch is larger. Do you recommend keeping the ap one using it as the plate looks soo good, or just fit the black one? Also why is it larger than the ap one?
If you have 2 different sizes of clutch you NEVER fit the smaller one, BUT if as said you have say a 200mm clutch and your new one is 220mm then you are going to need a flywheel and clutch plate that will accomodate the bigger one, i expect if you put your bigger one on the pressure plate it hangs over the edges....
