the engine in my s2 was smokey and worn out so desided 2 fone a few places get some ideas and cost on a new engine,i desided to go to a well known company coz of there reputation, i foned the up ask how much a full recon standard engine it was( £1100) i foned bout 6 or 7 times getting info and asking questions, my mate offered me a ecu chiped it was white blue red i had hearts and dimonds so i foned the company bk and ask if it would work on my car he said no it will run like shit and fuck all ur fueling up so i said when i cum down 2 get my engine ill get it chipped at the same time i desided to go 4 a st2 turbo aswel at all came 2 bout £2100 so booked it in went down got the work and every thing,i thort great just have 2 run it in go bk and get it tuned up,BUT the nxt few days me and my mate poped the bonnet to have a look at it,there had cut the water feed to my turbo just but bolts in the end of the pipes to stop the water cumming out by passed the amal valve and gues what changed my ecu to a white blue red which he told me would fuck the car up,i carnt bleave there have done this when i have spent all that money in his shop he has just fobed me of and every time i fone up to speak to the head bloke there just say he isnt there and when i did actually get hold of him he just played it blind and said he doesnt remember doing my car but it must have been 5 days after id been there, and after all that i went to my dads mates garage and let him have a look and they told me that my head hasnt been reconed so im over the moon ask you cud expect

One word against the other as far as the ECU goes..............as for the alleged sloppy workmanship take the car back...................who is it ?

Well at this stage you should give them the benefit of the doubt and the chance to rectify whatever isn't right...............if not, then time to take further..............

 

the build of the bottom end is sound just the rest of it, il have 2 c if he is going to fix the problems and i want 2 no why he said that bout the ecu then went and contradict himself by butting 1 on my car

 

i would go mad shouldnt have to take it back after spending money like that are they in the midlands this company

The way its going at the mo i think it wont be long till Me mate rstben names and shames but i told him to let them rectify the problems and give them the bennefit of the doubt before he does so. He has i chance to redeam himself when he goes to said company again for the set up once it reaches a thousand miles, if he then doesnt solve the bodges its name and shame time imo, but i will leave the decission up to my mate

NOT welllane, this is a SPECIFIC rst tuner and well respected in the rst world, thats why he is reluctant to name and shame cause i can guarantee 90% of people wont believe him if he named and shamed this company

 

absolutely agree, the company should be alowed to rectify the bodges before he names them, i still have a good idea whom he is talking about, im also sure they would have got him to put a big sticker across his windscreen lol,

No sticker, i recomended them cause of there reputation as probably "the" best rst tuner in the country alongside carl norris.

I wish i had recomended Norris Motorsport now instead of this company.

No what i am saying is that i will not be recomending this company to amyone else ever again, the faults are minor faults, but it was the whole "dont tell him and let him find out for himself once hes 300 miles away" attitude that stinks imo, that and the fact they know what they have done is shabby but there trying to fob him off that the water pipes are not needed like the amal valve isnt, i aint no expert but i'm sure they are there for a reason and not just for a laught

THE best RST tuner in the country??? next to Karl Norris, i think not....well im sure the reputation of this company is great, BUT if its the same person/people whom im thinking of then he has a bunch of numptys working for him at the mo, shame really......ho hum it will all come out in the wash and if it dont then there will be alot of ppl who will become very weary of tuners in the midds lol, not such a bad thing tho...

just out of intrest. this company USED to run the fastest RST in the country a few years back???? (so called) am i right? i have had ...not great experiances with them, as in ive had to go back a few times when i wasnt expecting to,
also i know someone who had allmost exactly the same bodges done on his motor....its freeky how simalar they are ..

ben phoned him today and the said gaffa agreed to put all the bits back to how they are, ben has to find some water pipes though cause he said he cant get any, which is fair enough in my book.

Surely if they disposed of the old pipes they should be replacing or at very bare minimum covering the costs for them..............poor show if you ask me.

I agree totally..........you have paid what i would say is a GOOD amount of money, its bad enough to get such sloppy workmanship and to have to complain to what you've said yourself is a "known and respected" tuner, but then to be told you have to source you own parts (and i really hope you didnt agree to pay for the parts aswell) is a very poor show. They should be named either way if they are trying to pull fast ones.

 

oh yes ,and if anyone was gonna "come and kick fuck outa you" for work you pay for that doesnt satisfy your requirements previously agreed,then
A. they dont deserve to be in buisness!
B.should fare well on your side in a statutary rites case.

and furthermore,HE is directly responsable for employing "numptys",as he is either the proprietor or the director,to HIS buisness.

my mates told u most of it, i foned him and spoke to him bout what i want doing and he was sound bout it he said the only problem is he carnt get hold of any water pipes but im sure my mate will b able to get me sum 4 cheap i dont mind paying a few sqid 4 them, coz when i go bk down i no it will b done rite and that he carnt fob me off saying he cart do it coz he cudnt get any.
