Default CVH ARP Head Bolts...

Is there such a thing, anybody use them?

I have never seen them listed in any parts catalogue and Burton aren't sure.

Thank you

Just out of interest, what is so special about these ARP bolts? They're MEGA pricey, and i also see equivalent sets on eBay for £50.

Are the ARP items straight studs and you use nuts to hold the head on?

Tony if you look on eBay there are equivalents on there, you MAY be interested, bidding starts at £50 a set.

Im just trying to find out whats so special about them, surely they can be nothing more than High Tensile steel?

I know exactly what you're saying, this is why i ask whats so special about them. I know standard bolts are stretch bolts, but high tensile steel shouldn't stretch, and i can't see there being much else special about them.

Look at the picture on the burton site, looks like an identical thing. I'm going to the local fasteners soon so i'll try and find out what the deal with this ARP stuff is.

i have a set of ARP head studs first for more infoamation about the studs you can find at http://www.arp-bolts.com/Tech/Tech.html
second the studs are reuseble and they can work at 220000 psi stress the stress work on two therds istand of one so ther is no way that your head will lift at any time. also it is more easy to mount the head with them and they dont strech like the ford items
BUT when you fit them you shoul follow the instructions because you have to use the special oil that is supplied with them to tourq them first you install by hand the studs then you put the head + gasket and then you tourq them to 65lb/ft.

if you whant to buy the kit : http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...ch&DDS=1&N=115

hope that i helped
